Fly Fisher’s Place Custom Euro Nymph Leader
The leader is arguably one of the most important aspects of the Euro Nymphing set up, and we make some very good custom tied leaders right here in the shop.
We offer a light, medium and heavy leader. The light uses 25 feet of 8# for the butt, 12” of 3x and a Bi Color Sighter to a 2mm Tippet Ring. This is the leader we rely on for most of our fishing on the Metolius, Crooked and Fall Rivers.
The Medium uses 25 feet of 10# for the butt, 12” of Cortland White Sighter to 12” of Umpqua Bi Color to a 2mm Tippet Ring. This is a good all round leader for most fishing conditions you’ll encounter in the Western Rivers.
The Heavy uses 25 feet of 20# for the butt, 12” of .014 and a 0x Tri Color Sighter to a 2mm Tippet Ring. For winter conditions, better handling and streamers this is a very good leader choice.
